Darrell Rupnick

Darrell Rupnick (74) of Lyford passed away April 17, 2025, at 2:43 PM surrounded by his family. Born September 24, 1950, in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to John Rupnick and Kathleen Jackson Rupnick. Most of his life he worked as a mechanic at Prairie Group in Terre Haute. Darrell married Karen Kelsheimer in January 1972. He was a member of Lyford Bible Baptist Church. American Legion Post 346 - Terre Haute, and AMVETS. Darrell was very devoted to his family and was very proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Darrell loved hunting and fishing. He was a U.S. Airforce veteran. Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife Karen (February 24, 2022), his daughter; Dana Neice (February 13, 2021) and one grandson; Jacob Matthew Thomas Rupnick (August 12, 1996). He is survived by his son; Darrin (Melissa) Rupnick of Clinton, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. One brother; Brian (Vicki) Rupnick of Wisconsin, and one sister, Charlotte Rupnick of Wisconsin, Also, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Services will be held at Lyford Bible Baptist Church, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with Pastor Jeremy Coombes officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, where military gravesite services will be conducted. Visitation will be at Lyford Bible Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Giovanini Funeral Home.
