Debra S Reed, 74, of Clinton unexpectedly passed on April 1, 2026 at Union Hospital in Clinton. She was born on July 3, 1951 in Linton, Indiana to Robert and Ernestine Ferry. She was 1969 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School, where she met the love of her life, Gregory Reed, when she was just 14 years old. They were married on September 12, 1970 and settled in Clinton in 1973 with their oldest daughter after living in Japan during Greg’s naval career. They went on to have two more children and she enjoyed life here as a homemaker, an avid volunteer at the Clinton Public Library, and she continued her Catholic faith at Sacred Heart Church. Debbie is proceeded in death by several family members, including her beloved parents, her in-laws, Oran and Janet Reed, and her brother-in-law, Scott Reed. In her lifetime, Debbie was defined by her devotion to her family, friends, and her faith. She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, and the dinner table was always a place of laughter and love for them all. She spent some of her free time reading tips and tricks about shopping at Costco on Facebook, working 2,000 piece puzzles and talking on the phone for record breaking amounts of time. Debbie’s joyful spirit was evident to all who knew her, as she never met a stranger or passed anyone without smiling and saying hello. Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Greg; her daughters, MaLeia Reed (John Walters), Chrissy Straw (Chris), and Suzanne Moulton (Paul); her grandchildren, Lindsey Kemper (Cory), Ryan and Nick Straw and Jack and Elliot Moulton. Debbie also leaves behind three brothers and three sisters: Joe Ferry, Paula (Bob) Sedrowksi, Nancy (Nick) Karazsia, Ellen (Bill) Sanders, Tom (Chandra) Ferry, and John (Laleh) Ferry. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Jane Shaw, along with a great-uncle, Butch Sanders, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Debbie will be at Giovanini Funeral Home and Cremation in Clinton from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton at 11:30am on Wednesday, April 8th, with Father Joby Puthussery officiating. There will be no graveside services. Memorial contributions can be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in honor of Debbie. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
