Joetta Rose Ross (Blackburn) (62) of Terre Haute left this world at home on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. Born, April 2, 1963, in Clinton to Donnie Ross and Sissy Searing Benefield. Joetta was a spirited individual who lived for her grandchildren. Known affectionately as a “Maffia princess” in her own right, she was fun, very fun to be around. She wouldn’t want our tears right now, she would want our memories, our stories to live on through us. Legends never die mom!

She was preceded in death by her father; Donnie Ross, and her son; Shane Moore

Joetta is survived by her daughter; Tosha More and son -in-law; Jesse Swick of Terre Haute. Life partner; Carl Blackburn of Terre Haute. Her mother, Sissy Benefield of Universal, her sister; Dawnetta Benson of Universal, Granddaughter; Skyla Moore of Universal, grandson; Sabatian Moore of Universal. Nieces and nephew; Lacey Benson, Maddie and Kaden Adams. Many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial celebration of life at a later date.
