John D Barnes

John D. Barnes ( 53) of Clinton, Indiana passed away August 27, 2020 at 4:57 PM at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Born in Fulton, Kentucky to Walton Barnes and Percilla Gambill Barnes.   He graduated from South Vermillion High school in 1984 and graduated from Ivy Tech - Terre Haute in 1986.  John worked for T.R.W. in Marshall, Illinois for 21 years.   He was preceded in death by his parents and surviving are two sisters; Denise Barnes Doss and her husband Reverend Elwood Doss Jr. of Martin, Tennessee and Tammy Barnes of Clinton, Indiana.  He is also survived by his cousins, Melissa Gambill Hilterman, James Gambill and Tanya Olah.  Services will be Sunday, at 4:00 PM, E.S.T., August 30, 2020 at Sugar Grove Methodist Church near St. Bernice, Indiana (16362 N. 2300 E.. Street, Chrisman, Illinois 61942 with Pastor Larry Kelsheimer officiating.  Visitation will be Sunday, Sugar Grove Methodist Church 3:00 PM E.S.T. until service time at 4:00 PM E.S.T.   Private burial at Sugar Grove Cemetery.
