John D Winkler

John D. Winkler (66) of Clinton, Indiana, passed away peacefully at 9:40 AM, February 6, 2026, at his home. He was born May 31, 1959, in Paris, Illinois to the late Lloyd and Betty Blaker Winkler. He married Debra Mathis Runyan on June 18, 2022.

John is survived by his wive Debra and his children; Ryan (Brittany) Winkler of Paris, IL, and Johnna (Ryan) Prouse of Vermilion, IL. Two brothers; Ernie Winkler of Paris, IL, and Brian Winkler of Paris, IL. Four Grandchildren; Trinity Littleton, Tinzlee Prouse, Bentley Prouse and Olivia Prouse, a soon-to-be-born grandson; Weston Winkler. His stepchildren and step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son; John Robert Winkler, one sister; Jennie Winkler Uselman. And two brothers; Danny Winkler and Owen Winkler.

John enjoyed riding his Harley, shooting guns, watching old Westerns and spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home from noon until service time at 2:00 PM, Friday, February 13, 2026. Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM.  Burial will be at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Clinton.
