Karla Cummins (70) of Universal passed away August 24, 2026. Born January 22, 1956, in Indianapolis to Alvin Thompson and Martha Seidel Thompson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Robert M. Cummins) and one daughter Michelle Summitt and granddaughter Jocelyn Summitt.

Karla is survived by one son; Richard Summitt II of Terre Haute and granddaughter; Tanikka (Micah) Corpe of 29 Palms, CA. Grandson; Quentin Sanders of Terre Haute. Brother; Norman Buster (Beth) Thompson of Sheridan, IN, Sister Vicki Mitchel and daughter Shawn, Sister Dawn LaFara (Phil Caudill) of Linton, IN. Nephew; Austin (Alyssa) Thompson, niece Angie (Ashley) Thompson. Best friend; Lenore Gilchrist of Universal. Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Per Karla’s request cremation was chosen without services
