Lorena M Turchi

Lorena M. Turchi, 100, of Clinton, passed away at 10:40 AM on September 30, 2026, at Clinton Gardens. She was born in Clinton on August 22, 1926, to Loren Griffin and Cora Mae Clarke Griffin. She retired as a secretary after working for Columbia Records and Eli Lily and Co. and also served as the former matron of the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office. Her memberships included Stateline Christian Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Italian Singers. She was especially proud to have served as Regina of the Little Italy Festival in 1986. She married Frank B. Turchi on July 10, 1945.

Lorena was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank B. Turchi, a former Vermillion County Sheriff; and three brothers, Clark, James, and Paul Griffin.

She is survived by her son, Frank Lynn Turchi of Clinton; her grandchildren, Frank R. Turchi, Stephanie Lynn King, Ashlie Lynn Turchi, Taylor King, and Tyler Turchi; and her great-grandchildren, Jordan Ray Turchi, Emmie and Ellie Turchi, and Hunter King.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Giovanini Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Yocum officiating. Visitation will take place at the funeral home that day from 11:00 AM until the service begins.
