Natalia “Tally” Jean Rowe Castagnoli of Terre Haute, IN passed away at Union Hospital on May 22, 2026, at 3:25 PM. She was born on December 2, 1940, to Dorothy and Maurice Rowe in Sandridge, IN, in their family home. On June 7, 1958, she married the love of her life, Celso “Cel” Louis Castagnoli. They were happily married for a wonderful 67 years,

Natalia is survived by her husband Cel, son Kurt Castagnoli, daughter Karen (Brett) Doan, grandchildren Lauren (Matt) Vidal, and Celso Castagnoli, step-grandchildren Brett Doan Jr. and Madison (Jarred) Bannon, great grandson Collin Vidal, sister Sue Wilsey, half-sisters Wanda Goins and Sharon Dils, half-brother Chester Rowe, sisters-in-law Marie Rowe and Yolanda Davis and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her infant son Cel, mother Dorothy Rolando, father Maurice Rowe, stepfather Dom Rolando, brother Donald Rowe half-brother Ronald Rowe, stepbrother Charles Rolando, and brother-in-law Paul Castagnoli and Omar “Pete” Davis.

Natalia was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church of Terre Haute. She retired from the Vigo County School Corporation as the cafeteria manager of Otter Creek Middle School after 32 years of service.

Tally was a proud wife, mother, and she was even more proud of the title grandma and great grandma. Her life revolved around her family, and she loved them with all her heart. She was a true caretaker, and the matriarch of her family. She was queen of the kitchen and took much pride in cooking for those she loved. Her most special recipe, Castagnoli spaghetti sauce, was loved by many. As years went by, days with sickness and pain became more prevalent. Even on bad days, she always had a beautiful smile on her face. She is now resting, pain free. She is very loved and will be missed beyond measure

Per her request she will be cremated with no services. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Services have been entrusted to Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton.
