Phyllis Gail Curry

Phyllis Gail Curry (89) of Clinton passed away at 12:03 AM, October 29, 2025, at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. Born June 28, 1936, in Clinton to Andrew Roth and Audrey Vale Roth. She retired from South Vermillion School Corporation, where she worked as a reading tutor at Van Duyn Elementary and Central Elementary Schools. She was a member of Clinton United Methodist Church, Delta Theta Tau Sorority – Beta Sigma Chapter in Clinton. She married Francis Eugene Curry on February 1, 1969. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Francis Eugene Curry (January 9, 2013).

Survivors are two daughters: Starla Mangold of Indianapolis, IN, and Shawna (Jim) Kendrick of Clinton, IN. One grandson; Kyle Kendrick of Clinton, IN. Three granddaughters; Claire Kendrick of Clinton, IN, Sarah (Tom) Issac of New Albany, OH, and Jessi Mangold of Carmel, IN. Two great grandchildren; Reagan and Lincoln Issac of New Albany, OH.

Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
