Sharon L Bates

Sharon L. Bates (84) of Clinton, passed away, January 29, 2026, at 10:07 PM at Vermillion Convalescent Center. Born, August 9, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas Kerrigan and Ester Wilson Kerrigan. She married Walter Bates on August 8, 1959. She was a bus driver for Chicago Heights Special Education. Preceded in death by her parents One daughter: Debora Bates (August 17, 2024) and her brother, Bill Kerrigan. Sharon is survived by one daughter; Kathy (Mike) Bush of Clinton and one son; Michael (Shannon) Bates of Hobart, Indiana. Also, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. One brother; Thomas (Monica) Kerrigan of Crystal Falls, Michigan and one niece and one nephew. Per her request cremation was chosen with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
