Darlean (Sharer) Burks

Darlean Burks (79) of Rockville passed away at 2:25 AM, June 4, 2022, in Rockville. She was born in Parke County Indiana, July 14, 1942, to Virgil Sharer and Pearl Torbert Sharer. She was former owner of the Burks Restaurant in Clinton. Darlean loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed playing Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Billie Joe Burks (12/9/2019). She was also preceded by her sisters; Florence Greene, Ruth Mulvihill, Betty Martin, Helen Finney, Rose Sharer and Judy Harper and one brother Albert “Butch” Sharer.

Darlean is survived by two sons, Larry Dean Burks of Rockville, Indiana, and James Burks of Crawfordsville, Indiana. One Daughter; Shelcy Burks of Rockville, Indiana, two stepdaughters; Kim (Brad) Miles of Terre Haute, Indiana, Stacey (Fred) Mills of Blanford, Indiana. Two sisters; Shirley (Ben) Ludlow of Hillsboro, Indiana, and Cindy (David (d.)) Ritchey of Clinton, Indiana. Seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Also, several nieces and nephews.

Per her request cremation was chosen without services.
