Janice J (Mautino) Vietti

January 8, 1954 — January 1, 2021

Rockville

Janice Vietti, 66, of Rockville and formerly of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 1st after battling pancreatic cancer. She was born January 8th, 1954 to James and Jackie Mautino of Clinton.

Janice was preceded in death by both her parents and her first husband, the Honorable Peter J. Marietta, and her mother-in-law Carrie Vietti.

Janice is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Vietti of Rockville, and her two sons James J. (Sara) Marietta of Tipp City, Ohio and John P. (Anne Marie) Marietta of Mason, Ohio. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Domenica, Peter, Nico, Eleanor, and Emmett Marietta. Janice is also survived by her sister-in-law Joetta (Lee) Lawrence of Indianapolis, Indiana, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Janice was passionate about cooking and no one ever left her home hungry. She was formerly employed as a floral designer at flower shops in Clinton and Rockville, but her true vocation was being a mother-though she only had two children, there were many others who considered Janice as a second "mom." She touched many lives and helped people every day of her life. She will be sorely missed by many.

A visitation will be held from 11-12p.m. on Tuesday, January 5th at Giovanini Funeral Home in Clinton with Marta Adubato officiating.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions only 25 people will be permitted inside at a time. It is respectfully asked that only adults attend, and that masks and social distancing guidelines be followed.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Peter J. Marietta Memorial Scholarship Fund in care of Old National Bank.
