Mary Margaret (Nagy) Iacoli

Mary Margaret Iacoli, 96 of Rosedale, Indiana passed away June 21, 2022, in Clinton, Indiana.  She was born March 18, 1926, in Clinton, to Louis Nagy and Anna Daniel Nagy. 

Mary was a telephone operator for Bell Telephone, and retired after 25 years from the Special Collections at the Vigo County Public Library.

Her memberships included Sacred Heart Church of Clinton, Catholic Women’s Club, Busy Modern Mothers Home-makers Club, secretary for the Terre Haute Deanery, Town and Country Remodeling Bowling Team, co-chairperson for Sacred Heart Spaghetti for Little Italy Festival for many years, taught religious education at Sacred Heart School and member of numerous Bible study groups.

She was married on October 18, 1947, to Bruno Iacoli.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruno (9/16/1994); brother, Alexander (Charlotte) Nagy; and half-sister, Elizabeth Smith Withers. 

Survivors include 2 daughters, Antoinette (Robert) Newman of Clinton and Roxanne Elaine (Mark) Harris of Clinton; 2 sons, John A. (Jessica) Iacoli of Terre Haute and Paul Vincent Iacoli of Rosedale; 9 grandchildren, Harmony, Jamie, Travis, Alexis, Tim, Anthony, Cameron, Jordan, and Trenton; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Evelyn Iacoli of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2022, in Sacred Heart Church, Clinton, with Fr. Joby Puthussery officiating.  Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, Terre Haute.  Visitation will be at Giovanini Funeral Home, Clinton, from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday.  Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart, the library of your choice or any charity of your choice.  Online condolences can be left at: www.giovaninifuneralhome.com
